Put a buy it now auction up earlier (about 12ish) and when I search for it I can't find it, does it just take a while to come up as I need this gone quick smartish!

yep, takes a while to be indexed so it comes up in searches.
ive known it take over a day before, always pisses me off

I've never known it to take longer than 30mins

I think a lot of time it depends what category you are putting things in, mine have always been in the clothing section and cos its such a big section it may take longer to index?
