right im going to make my own fibreglass light wieght bonnet skin,
wondering if anyone has done it before?
wnat it as light as possible,
doesnt matter if its flimsy as it will be held down with four bonnet pins.

was just going to cover a spare bonnet with clingfilm and masking tape, do one layer of fibreglass and wait untill it holds shape slightly then peel it free and build up a couple off layers.

sounds quite easy in my head lol

How would you go about doing it ? Tape over a bonnet, FG the top so you get a solid mould, the do the reverse, so tape the inside of your mould and then fg that, pop the final out and cut and paint

shouldnt be too hard i rekon i dont see how its a wast of time,
i want a propa lightwieght thin bonnet so rather make it myself.
ive made boot builds and stuff the same way couple of years ago.

just masking taped inside of boot fg inside and pealled out beofore the fb set and had a basic shape of the boot, then built up the boxes, then it was a propa boot build that fit the car.

so a bonnet must be easier.
