Booted PC up this evening, and i get a nice message from MS sayin i hav failed genuine validation. i know my copy is cracked, but it has passed every single validation upto this point. my pc now fails.

A few weeks ago I had the same problem on my server (although in my case it IS genuine Windows as I've got the COA on the case). Methinks the bloke I bought the box from used the s/n for other PCs

I've had that problem at work, ring microsoft and they can normally give you another activation code so they cant keep using your one if theyve written it down.

Ive tried that AntiWpa 3, and i still have that annoying sign in the bottom of the screen saying pc has failed genuine windows validation. Any ideas on what i should try next, bar buying a proper version??

does it actually let u on, if so just change the serial key for one that will pass validation.

It says SP1 but it always worked on SP2 for me.

my dads did this, his key changed to something completly different to what i installed it with, switch it back and all is well. Strange
