Had a lot on recently, and to top it all off the engine on my car has gone 
i've only had the car five months and its done 57k, devestated to say the least. been quoted 1500-2000k to fix it as looks like a full rebuild, garage say the piston has gone.
Going to transport it up north on a trailer to a mate of my dad's who will fix it a bit cheaper, and hopefully have it back in a few weeks. for the time being im going to be running about in a 1.3 Ka  which is a bit of a stepdown from a 225bhp megane 
anyway when i get it back on the road i will definitely be at the next meet as i don't think any of you have seen it yet!

Sorry to hear about your engine mate - were you working when we had the meet? If not you should have given us a shout, you could have tagged along with one of us!
Be good to see you mate, haven't spoken to you in ages - I think the last time was when I took that picture of your old house for you

when you put pics up aswell the text looks tiny lol. yeah i was working that day but i was hoping to catch up with you after if you were all still out, but it wasn't poss as had to have a lift to work as car was dead
as soon as the meg is alive again i'll give you a hand to get a meet arranged

Ah gutting m8, they give any reason as to why it failed as such a low milage?

I'm not going to have time to do anything for the next 3 weeks at least - I'm properly bogged down in my dissertation now.
It's due on 20th March, i.e. 3 weeks, and I haven't started writing it yet 
Along with that, I have over 6 hours a day of lectures too, then work to do for those lectures in the evening too, so no time at all to even breathe
Hope you get it all sorted for a reasonable price Tom

How strange though, mine, steves and now your engines have all gone in the space of a month!
Must be something going round Bridgend! lol
Hope you do manage to get it sorted though! Look forward to seeing your car!
On the plus side, at least the KAs handle quite well! haha

ouch, thts wot u get for goin to the dark side, nah only kiddin mate, that is seriously bad luck, summin bout renault turbos though, my cousin had a 3 year old megane tdi, turbo went within the year and she hardly drives like sebastien loeb lol
my engine aint well either think im gonna fix it and then sell, then at least i can make the money on my car so i can get a mkII golf gti 16v  good luck and keep us posted mate

As much as i totally disagree with you selling your corsa and hoping the apocalypse will doom JUST you for selling it, i won't send it if your getting a MK2 golf Gti

lmao, i want one soooo bad, nt sure on 16v though, insurance quote I got was silly! 1300 16v compared to 550 8v how the fuck tht work granted there 30bhp difference bt there only one insurance group higher than an 8v

nope im defo goin for gti mk2 i have seen exactly how i want it and have some big plans,not so bothered bout power always got the option of chucking something bigger in next year if needs be anyway as its no hassle like the redtop conversion, straight swap
