i'm in the process of making an egr blanking plate for these and im going to give it a try would any1 be interested in these if they work. I will be testing this first and if i have no problems i will maybe start selling them if there is enough interest

What does the egr valve actualy do? and what benefits do you get from blanking it off?

I can't see people wanting to buy them when they are so simple to make - just my 2 pence worth for this thread

They keep your emissions down by recirculating exhaust gas into the combustion chamber and in the process lowering NOX gasses. Personally I think its a complete waste of time on a x/z10xe and x/z12xe as you are not going to notice any difference in performance what soever. All my time working for vauxhall and I have only ever had to change 1 egr valve on x/z10xe or x/z12xe.

Is it even possible as its a sealed unit with coolant running through it?

As Rob says, they rarely give much bother anyway.
