really sad thread.

All the best to her jambo, you both sound like you have more balls about this than I would. Plus she has a stud-muffin like you to help

How old is she?

Jambo can only wish mrs Jambo all the best and hope everything is ok with the both of you in the long run, you beeing stronger as you suggested can only help

Was reading Jamie Whithams biography earlier with regards to the paragraph on where he is diagnoised with hodgkins, and his though process at the time is very sobering but positive reading, and also he puts it in very simple terms of what is what etc

Sorry to hear this mate! What makes it worse is her young age.

My old man has lung cancer and having treatment. There is no cure, they are just trying to control it. The medication appears to be making him worse. He has no energy and can be chatting away and then just stop as he's forgot what he was saying.

He's always been the one to rely on, the one i can get advice off but deep down i know he won't always be around.

Started to look after myself a little better taking short walks which proper knackered me out at first. In the middle of doing some DIY at the minute but once i've done this i'll be joining a gym. You cannot put a price on your health!

Look after your missus Jambo and i wish for her to get better!

thanks everyone

JonG Thats awfull news, what type of cancer does she have? My mate had cancer in his neck, been in remission for 2years now its back again. Not good.

So many people have cancer, a cure really needs to be found

Aparently eating chocolate, toast and brocolli can help fight cancer

Chin up and keep strong matey. She need a rock to rely on and you're perfect for the job with the help of your family.

It's a shame her family are so unreliable, but it's excellent that your's have taken her in and are so supportive. It must be making a huge difference to her knowing you all really care.

Good on her for going about normal life and keeping herself busy. It's probably the best way to avoid falling into self pity. Keep thinking about the good times and the future you still have now and once she is through treatment.

All the best to you both.

Edit to also mirror some of that to JohnnyG. Hope the Therapy starts taking effect.

Really terrible news jambo but nice to see you are doing positive stuff and she's keeping herself busy, I think that's really important. Hope she manages to get through it but as said you're a lovely lad and even though she doesn't seem to have her family around she's got a cracking boyfriend to help her through it. Much love to you both
