Hey, i really want to buy a mesh grill for my corsa sport 1.4 16v 1996 but the problem is.. that the stock grill is part of the front bumper. Do you think there is a way of cutting this out so that i could fit the mesh grill ? ?

just unscrew the screws then push it long the bottom it will then pop off

if its the pre 97 it wont pop off!! i had to cut mine out (and made a crap job of it) when i had my old car. probs better off buying a post 97 (facelift) bumper to do it properly

He's got a pre97 so its part of the bumper..
Only way to remove it is to cut it out but it looks gash as the bit the badge is mounted on leaves a big hole.

I cut mine out using a soldering iron. Then fitted a badgeless grill which covered up all of the holes

Trying to do it for as cheap as possible since i quit my job in january and still havent been able to get another. cutting it out sounds cheaper that buying a new bumper lol

yea i was able to get a really clean cut with the iron. then the grill fits in and hides the gaps. There are slight gaps at the bottom corners but nothing noticable.

a hacksaw blade is what i used, a slatted grill will cover up any holes left

yes it would fit, mine already had the holes in the slam ppanel to screw it in, if not just drill them, i also had zip ties going around the top mounts on the bumper to hold the sides of the grill in

Would a normal hand hack saw work? or wuld i need sumting eletric or do i need a solder iron?
