All.
Been having some troubles with my 20XE for a month or so, the EML has been on but the car ran fine?
I tried the paperclip test but nothing happened (i.e. no flashing, just a solid EML light)
but, yesterday coming home from uni, when you accelerate and then change gear (above 3k revs) it continues to hold the revs up until you engage the next gear... i.e. change up at 3.5k, with the clutch down it will stay at 3.5k until the next gear is selected. When the car was put into gear it then continued to accelerate slightly, although you have your foot lightly on the pedal
Turning it off and then on solved this problem, but slightly concerned to say the least

It's the ICV.
Fiddly to get to. It's the metal cylinder thing below the powercap etc. Mine stays near the heater matrix pipes.
You'll swear loads getting the little bugger out. Then drench it in WD40 and brake cleaner, finally a bit more wd40 before you put it all together.
Job Done.

But just check - Squeeze the pipe that goes to the top to see if the revs drop. They should!

Ebay jobbie phil so could have been all lies tbh.
Tested it, pulled out the TPS while it was idling at 3k-ish, nothing happened.
Revved it a little and it went back to normal
I love XE sensors

the throttle body is obviously sticking are you sure ints not just down to dirt? have you took the ecotec pipe or power caP and had a look down there?

Could be the small butterfly sticking. common due to blocked breathers and heavy breathing XEs shooting shit into the throttle body.
