I think there's a fair few cyclist on here. Had my specialized Hardrock stolen on Thursday night, looking for a good replacement, I've hardly done any off roading for ages and so the hardrock wasn't great for what I was doing. Am thinking more along the lines of a hybrid that's going to be a lot better on the roads but isn't going to be too much of a nightmare if I do do the occasional tow path etc.

Am trying to get work to sign up to http://www.cyclescheme.co.uk/

Had a look in registered shop near me, bike I am quite fancying is the Cube curve ( http://www.stanjonescycles.co.uk/index.php?main_page=document_product_info&products_id=175 ), and the fattest bike lock I can find. Anybody got any opinions of other alternatives, similar spec, no more expensive worth looking at?

Thanks

Bike lock means nothing. If they want it they will have it. My £1000+ personalised trials bike had two motorbike locks to a metal post and a seperate concrete post and it was gone in 25 minutes.....
White van + theiving scum + plasma style cutter = bike gone

Now i have a specialized P1 hard tail, absolutley love it and for £500 (3 years ago) its great!
