I've done a few searches and there are arguments for both..
195/50/15 tyres are significantly cheaper than 195/45/15, but I'm more interested in performance.. Having a smaller tyre wall means a stiffer tyre but thats not always better in the real world, public roads are not as sticky and smooth as a track
I'm currently running 185/55/15's (they came with my wheels, tigra size!) and they are too big IMHO.. 185/45 has a 101.7mm wall height and 195/50 has a 97.5mm wall height but it is noticable.. And 195/45 has a 87.75 wall height, a whole 10mm smaller than the 185/55.
What is everyones view?

I ran 45s just because I thought they looked a bit better. I would imagine a higher quality 50 would drive better.

/45s look miles better, and make the wheels look bigger.
But 50s give a smoother ride, and cost less
Up to you...

195/45's are the correct size for corsa's if you want your speedo to work properly, iv got ns2's on mine and they dont seem too harsh at all and stick really well. plus they are under £45 a tyre fitted and balanced which isnt too bad at all.
