got 3 points from an asshole of a traffic officer

measure my tread depths, and was getting the measurement of 1.125mm now i know they had just touched the wear bars where he was measuring, meaning there 2mm, argued with him, said let me use his digital tread depth gauage, he said no i wasnt quaified to use it.

i saw him measuring the front one, it was reading a 11mm a few times, something dodgy there

anyway, his final measurement was 0.45mm!!! which was complete bollocks. but theres not alot i could do.

now measured tyre at work - on 2mm where he was measuring it (he was measuring on the center)

im far from happy that his 'calibrated' was reading wrong, even by eye sight.

i take it they have to get there tool calibrated every day? how do i request this?

and who do i contact?

go o a garage and get them to give you the readings.. make sure its headed by the garage

then go to the local police station where the officer works, have a chat with the guy on the front desk and explain that a officer has tryed to do you so to speak for having ilegal tyre where the readings on the letter state its 2.0mm not 0.4mm only thing i can sugest really.

cops will fuck you over for everything, i would have asked for readings over 60% of the tyre then asked for a form proving that his so called clibrated tread depth gague was callibrated that day then fuck him right over

Digital gauges - pish

Take it to an MOT tester, they'll give you written confirmation of legal tyres.
