People that cant read out phone numbers correctly.
for example my old mobile number 07790486776 (its deactivated now so i dont mind posting it up)
some people will read it out as - 07790 486 776 which makes sense
then you get "those" people that would read it as - 077 904 866 76
any other combination of number other than the correct way is just rubbish !!!
random friday rant over feel much better getting that off my chest

totally agree, bloke at work says it the way you did in the second example and it makes me want to smash his face in. sometimes he would say 0779 04 86 77 6 which is even worse.

I feel the same with debit cards. Tell people them in groups of 4, then the extra 2 at the end if it has an issue number. Not in fucking threes!

Well it is diferent depending on where you are in the UK, in Liverpool the area code is 0151 but in warrington it is 01925 and then London is 020.
Just depends were you grew up i think and how you remembered your number then.

i agree
5 numbers, then 6 numbers (3, 3)
or some landlines like leeds, newcastle where area code is 4
4 numbers, then 3/4

I remember numbers in loads of different ways.
most mobile numbers i remember = xxxxx xxx xxx
Brothers phone = x xxx xx xx xxx
Just which way makes sense at the time and how the numbers flow imo.
