I'm thinking of going onto FreeSat. Can't really justify spending £50 a month for Sky, phone and Broadband when all i use is the Broadband.
Can i just keep the phone and Broadband with them?

If you have all three you can go on the free 2 MB Broadband. I also get free line rental on my phone with free eve/weekend calls. TV package is only £37.50 for most channels including SKY Sports but not Movies. For that price you cant argue. If the 2MB BB is too slow upgrade to 8MB for £5 a month.

To compare...I was on BT for phone and internet so was paying £25.50 a month for 8MB BB...and £15 a month phone line rental. Then obviously the £37.50 for SKY TV. Switching all to SKY has saved me £40.50 a month but has meant a downgrade to 2MB internet which can be at times annoying...but I dont do much downloading anymore so for browsing generally its fine.

If you're not that bothered about having a land line and broadband, and not that bothered about download speeds, you could maybe get mobile broadband?

I am being serious, if I wanted to know the very same thing, I'd go get my phone, dial the number and talk to them, they would tell me the answer within minutes and then I'd know.

Was thinking about this option earlier when in The Carphone Warehouse getting a phone with my sister. I have a few servers back here that i RDP and FTP to so speed is an issue. Bandwidth is an issue too.
I'm rarely home and when i am i'm either on the PC or doing washing etc. Just don't see the point in throwing £50 at something i don't use.. When i consider everything else i'm paying out per month it totals over £400 before i pay the mortage. For one person to pay this out, it's quite a chunk of money.

I'll give them a call sometime this week when i get chance. I thought someone else on here, giving the population, may know the answer.

You could of course use someone's reliable yet unsecured wireless Internet
