I sold a pug rear beam i had lying about. it went for a pound to a bloke 300 miles away. He is clearly pleased with his bargain so is heading up tomorrow morning for it.

I then get a mail from a bloke near me who wants it.

I told him it was sold already and he offered me £20.

Now I'm not going to be a cunt to the bloke from Wales as it is his really. So told the £20 bloke he can't have it.

I then get this reply from him

quote:
Hi,
we realy need it m8, my other half is a community care nurse and with
out the car she'll be out of a job and i'm on the brink of being laid off
from mine again.
i dont know what else to say apart from we are quite
literally desperate and we cant afford new one or recon.
i dont like to
make excuses myself or tell porkies so i dont know what to say but at least
you'll be getting a lot more money for it and will be helping us keep a
roof over ours and the kids heads.
please get back to me.
many
thanks
Paul + Helen

I told him it was sold and had called the Welsh bloke who said he also needed it. I recommended a scrappy that has a 206 in stock, then got this reply.

quote:
Hi,
you've been more than helpfull, just sorry to put you through all this
messing around, i also hope the guy who did win it doesnt give you any
hassle and leaves you positive feedback instead of a neg for trying to sell
it to some one else. still it might be worth taking a neg instead of losing
30.00! lol.
anyway thanks again and if he doesnt show then please get in
touch.
many thanks
Paul & Helen

He now offers £30 haha

I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.
