The only room in the house we haven't bothered with since being here just over 2 years now, needed doing desperatly as the decor and the leaking corner bath was just going too far, so 3 weeks before christmas we decided to crack on living in hope to have some kind of bathroom by christmas ''
The corner bath was taking far too much room in there, i know its nice to have a bath etc but having 2 baths in the 2 years of living here just wasnt justifyable, plus the room isn't massive so wanted to free up a bit of space. we had a shower over the bath with a curtain round.
The toilet wasn't screwed down to wall or floor so moved everytime you sat on it, an the wood tongue & groove ceiling was makin the room seem dark, anyway i'll talk through the pics....
Just after i had pulled all the wallpaper off the walls
Tiles, toilet and sink out, thats it...peeing in a bucket from here on
Pulled all tongue & groove off ceiling an plasterboarded it ready
Old radiator went aswell
Freshly plastered an down went the floor tiles
In goes the shower try, never got inside of shower enclosure plastered as this will be gettin covered with 10mm marine ply.
Piping the hot & cold water for the power shower (had new Worcester Greenstar 30si boiler fitted last year so was ample enough to power the shower without a pump so though why not
Then started to put the sheets up in position, not the easiest things to handle.....
Meanwhile i put the Mosaic tiles on the window sill which will also be a splashback for the sink later on
Toilet & sink are in at last
Box built around the pipework which will be tiled the same as the floor
I then changed the wastepipe under the shower as it was draining the water too slowly so i brought the pipe out the front of the shower instead of havin loads of bends like there was under the shower...problem solved!! New radiator fitted too!
another random pic of window sill......need grouting still as do the floor...last job
yesterday put the mirror, toilet roll holder, towel rail etc up
An thats as far as i'm up to, waiting on another box of tiles to do the box. Will update with pics as soon as i have made more progress, hope you like, coz i am quite happy with myself as i've not had much help realy, only with the water pipework an lighting/fan.
Any comments welcome
Thanks

Must have been a mission changing the shower waste pipe afterwards?
Finished result looks good though.

Sorry forgot to add i got someone in to do the plastering, i used to be bad enough smoothing door handles on cars in my younger days lol
BlueCorsa- i was wondering if anyone would spot how hard it would be to change the waste....i broke a tile an plenty of scratched knuckles later i managed to turn the trap around an screw it back on
