Much better TV if you can stretch to it mate
Sony 32V5500
If not the 1st Samsung (5 series) but id look for Panasonic / Sony for your budget, can get a very good well specc'd TV for £500

Sorry i meant the first one, the first one (5 series) is Full HD 1080P, the 2nd (4 series) is just HD ready.

50,000:1 is better. Dynamic contrast will be a form of image processing I would image, a bit like the dynamic iris on projectors, helping to create more variation in black level in dark scenes.

Go for the first one mate.
The series 5 is just an all round better TV.
The series 4 you posted is just the facelifted LE32A456C (hence why its the B series now, instead of A series - if that makes sense)
As said, first one
P.S. I work at Currys in Dumfries.

You pleased with it mate?
Dynamic contrast is kind of irrelevant as nobody uses 'dynamic mode', just makes TV spec sound better in the adverts etc..

The overall contrast ratio is important though. You can really tell the difference when you have two tv's next to each other, one low contrast and another high.
Basically what it means is that if you have 20,000:1 contrast, black is 20,000 times darker than white
Numberwang!
