you're confusing your EGR system with your SAI
its the SAI that is connected to the exhaust manifold, just remove it all and you will have no problems

I know this is a bit old, but you can just take the SAI out and leave it off?
Do you need to go blanking anything at all? And would the EML light flash up?
Thanks

It is fine t remove and you won't get EML. You will need to blank off the 15mm Hole in the manifld however

when people say 'the SAI' system, what exactly are they refering to?
the lambda?
if so why can you not just leave the lambda connected to the 4----2-1 manifold?

This is all the sai removed you have to block the small hole that is left in the exhaust manifold you will have the same hole in a janspeed also, the lambda is lower down and stays, if you fit a janspeed etc you then screw the lambda into the new manifold , the egr is behind and under the inlet manifold and is a pain , this can also be blocked off but has to stay connected as not to bring on the eml. I have a friend who is going to make me a emulator so I can blank off my egr and remove it but the connector will be connected to the emulator to stop the eml coming on as the ecu will think all is ok well thats the plan.
