My mum mentioned the other day that our BT Business Broadband was supposed to be 8meg. Here's the latest speedtest I've done.



Previously I've never had more than 520kb/s download and about 320kb/s upload. Is that the norm for 8meg? I'd never thought it was 8meg which is why I've never bothered before but those speeds seem a bit stupid imo.

So what's the score with it?

How long ago since the line was rewired?

Phone up BT Mike, the should be able to tell you how far you are from the exchange and what sort of speeds to expect.

Also, try replacing the microfilter on the line as that's one of the first points of call.

Couple of guys i work with who live out in the sticks have said installing a new face plate has worked for them.
