Was hoping there was a slim chance we would escape

Oh well, at least the MK Dons stadium is only 10 mins away from my house(if they dont manage promotion)

Now you just have to make sure you avoid the bottom 3 in the league so the points count this year.

Somehow if you get relegated and start eith -10 I don't hold out much hope of bouncing straight back up but with a level playing field its much more possible

It's a lose lose - stay up and they get points deducted, go down and they get 10 points deducted.

Big game for us, can't see you getting anything tomorrow I'm afraid although Burnley never fail to manage to let me down!

No offence, but I hope you dont make it out the drop zone and you start on -10 simply because it will help our cause next season.

Well tbh it was going to be one hell of a long shot to get out the relegation zone with 2 matches to go, especially relying on the teams above us to lose.

Oh well, hopefully be back season after next!

Its a tough league next season is league one too..

You will be playing one of Leeds, MK Dons, Millwall, Scunthorpe.

Not to mention Norwich and Charlton.

It will not be easy to get out, unless you are mgihty Leicester City..

Lol

Its not easy down there mate, but some cracking stadiums/terraces

Next season will be a weaker league than the season that has just finished. Even if Southampton start on -10 they still have a good chance of promotion depending on what players they keep etc.

Well, it will be easier because Crewe aren't there

I reckon next season will be a stronger league one as well tbh.

Norwich and Charlton aren't bad teams, will be suprised if Leeds go straight back up, starting on -10 i'll be suprised if they get straight back up

Which team will be stronger next time round than this time round?

Next season you wont have Leicester, Peterborough & MK Dons/Leeds/Millwall/Scunthorpe. They will be replaced by Southampton, Norwich, & Charlton.

Only team I can see being up there out of the 3 that have come down is Norwich. Charlton are skint & will have to sell players, as will Southampton. None of the Championship teams that have been relegated will be better than the ones that have gone up come the start of the season.

Teams that have come are Brentford, Wycombe, Exeter & then either Bury/Gillingham/Rochdale/Shewsbury. None of these will be challenging for promotion like Peterbrough & MK Dons did this time round. All 4 will just be happy to stay up.

That only leaves the 3 teams who miss out on the Play Offs. It will be L**ds or MK Dons that go up so that leaves Millwall & Scunthorpe and one of them. Whoever loses the Play Offs will be a threat for the title, the other 2 are play off contenders at best.

As I say, the teams coming down are not as strong as the teams that have gone up. And the teams that have come up, are only as strong as the relegated teams so while it might be a tighter league as anyone can beat anyone, I wouldn't say it will be any "stronger" than this time round.

TBH i think we might have a hard time when the new season begins, especially as theres a high chance some of the better players will go.

I would like to think that we would have a fighting chance at least at getting to the top, but like Danny P said Norwich are the stronger team and at present are better than the Saints.

One downer is that if MK Dons go up to the Championship, i cant just pop 10 mins down the road to watch Southampton there (as Northampton got their arses relegated aswell)!
