just bought a 1.6 sport corsa and wen the u 1st start it up the light is off but after u drive say half mile down the road it goes on and stays on everytime, does not affect n e performance of the car and the car drives fine doesnt cut out or n e thin, n e ideas wot this could be?
il do a paperclip test on it tonight and get the code aswell, cheers guys!

Maybe a sensor somewhere needs changing
Paperclip test first, like you said. Maybe a diagnostics if you know a garage with the gear

when you open and close you bonnet, there is that plastic thing that goes up and down, supposed to be an alarm and senses when the bonnet is opened
well under that there is a big sensor facing upward, try and push that in it has to be cliped in all the way. it happened to mine, light came on but didnt affect the performance
hope it does the trick mate

Bet its egr, get a ecu reader on it or paperclip.

yer i dnt think its egr as the car runs fine however there is a problem with the tensioner but i think this is a seperate problem to the eml

could be a sensor then, like the crank sensor

its the right code, as it will be a siemens ecu !!! not bosch which is a 2 digit code

yer, it reads the EGR valve, how much will this cost to replace and also will it pass next mot,
could i just blank it off wud that stop the light comin on?
