i've had a list back for my student finance for uni but i cannot understand it.
here's the breakdown of what i get
Tuition fees.
course fee £3225
less tuition fee grant £1940
maximum loan available £1285
loan requested £1285
loan to be paid (will be paid directly to university) £1285
the amount you need to pay your university £0.00
maintenance loan
basic loan (non - income assessed) £2755
plus loan subject to income assessment £973
less loan substitueted for grant £1288
less assessed contribution to living costs £0.00
maximum loan available £2440
loan requested £2000
loan to be paid £2000
Supplementary grants
Assembly learning grant £2906
what i dont understand is that the course costs £3225 and i have been given a assembly learning grant for £2906 which as i see it i should only have to pay the university £319 and then £2000 to the loans company for my maintenance loan. BUT it says loan to be paid £1285. i want to know if i will have to pay back the £1285 aswell when my grant should cover most of it.
sorry if i've confused you but i dont understand it.

That's how I read it too. Grant's already been taken off the tuition.

looks like they've messed up the figure for the tuition fee grant to me? or something else hasn't been added to drop the price down.
