This is my XE nova , i ve had it for 2 years, bought it from a guy that wasnt looking after it, got it at a bargain price and always wanted to do a nova project, after doing 2 corsas

its been siiting in a shed at my uncles farm for 2 years , so after selling my corsa beginning of this year, and startin a new job offshore last year i geta month off at a time so had no excuse to start it, so got home last thursday and started it this week.

My plans:

strip it
weld/strengthening it
prep it for track
rebuild XE and more power
put it all back together-
and ENJOY on the track

so heres my pics of the past 2 days work:

old pic before i had it

after pulling out of shed:

so we hooked up the jump leads fromtractor, and to my utter shock IT STARTED FIRST TIME

we then set about stripping HEALTH AND SAFETY WARNING!!

Day 2 :
remove engine parts,loom,and other parts

me in my new leathers, gloves, boots and helmet

Tomorrows plans:
engine out, start welding....and welding

i'd opt to use it with a standard XE first... get it shaken down, brakes and susp sorted out etc.... then look for more power.

thats the plan, jus gonna get all the chassis strengthened and cage welded in with a few more supports in, got rear disc beam for a nova i bought a while ago to fit,and change out the suspension its in , more than likely for GAZ units.

get it round knockhill a few times get to grips with the car then start upping the power
