am i correct in thinking that this is timed correctly, the static belt marks all line up 2 on the rocker cover with the 2 on the belt but the 2 on the cam pulleys dont line up with the 2 on the belt, even though the 2 on the cam pulleys line up with the 2 on the cover.
I hope that makes sense basically the cam pulleys have 42 teeth and the belt has 141 teeth, so am i right in thinking that the marks on the cam pulley and the marks on the belt arent going to match up for another 40ish turns of the engine?, yet the fact that after 6-7 attempts at turning by hand the marks on the belt line up with the marks on the cover and the bottom pulley means its all gravy yeeeiiisss?
Thanks in advance.
Dan

ignore what the belt is doing. You need the marks on the top pullies to line up with the marks on the rocker and the drive belt pully on the crankto line up with the spike.
I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

Put the tools back in the box and take them back to the shop!
There are two marks on the cam pulleys that should be opposite each other and two that should line up with the marks in the cover.
There is also a mark on the crank that you need to line up with the cover.
Once they are aligned it doesnt matter where the belt goes

you wil need something to hold the pulleys still while you get the belt on, broom handle works well
