hi first of all great site my brother has blowen his head gasket on his 1.4 sport corsa and my friend has got a 1.6 16v ecotec out of a astra just a few quiestions...
1. is it a easy conversion
2. should we use the 1.6 or 1.4 gear box
3. any where i can get a wireing diagram from

1 - Yes If you know what your doing.
2 - 1.6
3 - Its colour for colour.

If it's the same engine then it should all just plug in nicely, can't see there being anything too difficult

astra will have a different inlet and is 16xe1 iirc

Oh, boo that's not so good...
Thinking about it now, the looms probably have slight differences as well.

I think you might be right, it's a funny looking inlet on the XE1 IIRC

different inlet on xel
less bhp but more torque..
i had to change lower inlet in order to fit my lexmaul to my XEL
Engine was good though
