Yeah Insurance on a GT TDi is £987 as opposed to £667 on the GTi. Have heard the GT Tdi's are great cars though. Im driving a 1.8 20v N/a Passat at the moment so its gonna be a better drive than that for sure!

hi mate, i love mine personally, 1.8 20v is the best of the na engines, the 2.0s are shite, even then it will be by no means fast. would really recomend the gt tdi or the 1.8t if you could afford it insurance wise
only problem ive had was altenator so far on mine

Il collect some more insurance quotes but im only 20 with three points and no NCB.
Just spoke to the bloke, not going to see it until Wednesday now! Have you used any of the Vagcom gear on yours yet?

im 20 with three points and 1 year no claims, when i turn 21 in aug i can get my insurance down to 900
nope mate no vagcom yet, just the stuff in my sig, they really are nice cars

Im just hoping ive got money left after buying the car, insuring, etc.
Only Subtle things though- Coilovers, Refurb wheels in a darker colour, few things using Vag-com, etc.
Funny thing is i havnt even been to look at one yet and ive already got all of these plans for it!

think its et35 and they are bbs anniversary alloys, go for a preem on ebay, usually 600+ atleast. i paid 300
