I have just got a new induction pipe today but i cant fit the bastard sensor in in thats supposed to be there - my fingers are fucking really tired at the mo and have tried warm fiary liquid water - the sensor is too big for the hole - and ideas???????????///

Nah, the sensor is on the pipe between the air box/cone and inlet manifold. Altho, I think on older models it actually went into the air box.

is this the sensor that reads the temp on the MFD? if so that may explain a lot cos mine either shows 56.5 or 70. very wierd

Don't think so. Nothing under the bonnet is gonna give a good reading of air temp. Also, I dont have this sensor (99 sport), yet i have a temp on the MFD.
