Going to sort out some sort of wireless internet connection for the house. Need it to do 2 computers (1 laptop with wifi, and 1 desktop without wifi) and would like to know whats needed, and the best way to do it.
Also does it matter what internet connection you have. At the minute we have BT Broadband (Unsure on the specs of it). In the argos there seems to be 2 types, one for cable and one for phoneline, Is there a big difference?

I'm sure if you ring BT they'll sort you out with a wireless router? You must've registered ages ago to not have one already.
If you insist on buying one tho you'll want a phoneline one.

As Brett said you want a phoneline/ADSL one.
If you go on ebay I cant recommend enough the Netgear DG834G (any v#), good simple, reliable ADSL router
edit - also if it has been that long youve been on this package that you didnt receive a free router when you signed up, no doubt you are paying well over the odds, so look into other providers to see if you can get a better deal + free router package.

I'd swerve BT alltogether and get new new contract with o2 or similar. Get a free router with them and then just buy a dongle for the PC or use a network cable to the PC and have the laptop on wireless.
