You know what i'd have instead (if i were a little shorter).

http://www.sovereigncarsales.co.uk/Replicas_gridpos2.aspx

Maybe find a cheaper one though.

Like one of these:

You just know one of those would turn way more heads, and be just as much fun.

Don't you understand that the £20k TB corsas you had that always broke was far better, faster, handled better, looked better, and went better, than either the Skyline, Scooby (or R8 or GTR).

Go back to a tuned corsa, so much more fun

Not my thing here, whys it bother me, but i was thinking about this, and still can't decided.

I can see the attraction of both, I really can. The GTR is just mad, silly fast, will push your brain out your ear when cornering. The Audi will be more refined, but as a driving experience (i.e YOU controlling the car, not a fancy computer and diffs), the Audis still the better car.

But I'd always be thinking, "damn that GTR is so much quicker"...

Audi will take time to build the power up, GTR will be instant.

Audi is a refined sports car, GTR is a jumped up Nissan where "da boyz" will always be going "ow fast m8". (I know its not, but you know what I mean).....

What will you use it for Adam? Road driving only, or mostly road, with a bit of track action? Or new track whoare car?

WTF? How can a corsa be quicker and handle better than a GTR?

if we bought one it would be for no reason

We have a fuckin 911 lying around that i've prob driven 100miles in the last 2 years.

The thread wasnt really started to say 'we're getting one'

Just interested in what folk would have... as I know it would be a tough decision if we had to make it.

I think if we stayed in the UK and moved out of town, Fee would need a car. It would be a nice car. We dont actually NEED anycars just now

Fee walks to work, I'm never at home.

All the cars are toys The navara is just to tow a toy.

I need a work car, bring down the old 911.......

Ahhh good job then really though, as it really really is a hard call. But im going on the options given, £60k gets some nice metal, and if i was spending that, I think i'd have to split it, half on a Radical, or Noble, and the other half on a modest road car...

but £60 flat, Astons would be calling me, just for that engine noise. Its worth the cash alone

I can only dream at the moment... In time Damien, in time........

It's a very capable roadgoing showcase of Audi's technology. Posers may buy them, but that doesn't mean they're crap.

GTR, however much i'd dream of having one, i'd hate driving it. After reading the autocar review GTR vs RS i came to the same conclusion as the writer.

That's such a ridiculous thing to say. You're just taking the writer's opinion as your own and regarding it as fact. If you'd driven it too, then you could legitimately agree or disagree.

The diesel is a showcase of the technology I would think, an excellent advert to make you go out and buy a 2.0tdi A4.
