Usually useless though due to the latency issues and what not. Special hardware is usually required for a decent setup.

It depends what sort of work you are doing, if it just needs to get a bit of data then churn away with it network latency isn't an issue.

Its to process FEA runs faster really as it can take hours sometimes.
