i'm wanting to get into photography and i have lots of questions that i don't want to fill up snap day with. what good forums do you guys use? i could do with one with a for sale section as i'm after buying my first DSLR and i want to see if there are any bargains about. i cant stand using ebay.
oh and if any of you talk to whittie much tell him to not sell his d60 to the other guy and sell it me instead, thanks.

Talk Photography is good.
I rarely post on there as its seems a bit 'clicky' (ie. regulars get a million responses even if the photos are shit, others don't get a look in) but the classifieds is excellent.
Picked up quite a few bargains on there including 4 old off camera flashes for £8 delivered

i'm registered on there now so found out everything i needed to know through the search. i still dont have a camera yet though. i've been checking the classifieds but everything is either well out of my price range or it's just lenses.

People like matt-sayle on there piss me off the most. Mostly post the same crap over and over and get a million replies of "brilliant, love it" whilst anyone else gets a load of comments saying what they did wrong.

I dont like that Jason Coles stuff, his models always seem to have really bad poses, and all his pictures seem all too "soft"
That this one for example
she looks uncomfortable and the picture looks cartoony!

I think like anyone, so stuff is amazing, some not so much. Some stuff he did a while back of a mock-up wedding reception was amazing - perfectly sharp and brilliant vibrance to the colours.
That pirate one looks naff though, although I wouldn't say she looks uncomfortable, just a bad pose
