makes no sense to me at all really but it was still entertaining. how did they work out that windies only needed 80 to win?

Shame really, but i said it all along, England haven't got 20:20 players in their side, they've got to rely on 3 players, Wright, Bopara, and more importantly Pietersen.

We only hit 2 boundaries in the last 9 overs, and they were the last 2 balls, that's shocking, they went back to knocking for singles, never gonna win like that.

Admittedly if it was 20 overs for the Windies we mights of had a chance, oh well.

The 80 off 9 overs was worked out using the Duckworth/Lewis standard.

Not entirely together with it, but it goes on averages, e.g. they know that scores generally pick up in the last 10 overs of a match, so it's worked out as an average, sure i could find something somewhere on the net about it...

Cant believe they took Masch out to put in another bowler, shocking. Masch is a good bowler anyway, he should have been selected and if they wanted a spinner take out Sidebottom.

Also, Collinwood should have know the weather was gonna affect the game so why didnt he bat first? Far easier to chase in smaller amount of overs.

there's been some very debatable calls by Collingwood throughout the tournament, was stupid taking out mascarenhas, but at the same time, he's not batted brilliantly in the games he did play.

Like i've said a few times, we haven't got 20:20 players in the squad, should of bought back Ramprakash! He seems to still be scoring a lot, and probably could of picked a completely different squad to the test squad instead of trying to mix them.

"the forecast i saw said 20% chance of rain" - Collingwood

Pakistan looking like heavy favourites in the final now unless something impressive happens for Sri Lanka now!

70/6 after 13 overs

Pakistan was the one team I didn't really want to win as well

England (I assume, they needed 6 from 20 balls when I left it, the GP started so had to change over) They got NZ all out for 85

138-6 in the end, very good fightback, 78 in the last 7 overs! Decent total to protect with their bowling

Pakistan win then.

165ish sixes in 27 games, can't argue with the entertainment value of the tournament, think England got 4 or so 6s!
