I've just signed up to one of them ghey proboards forums. i usually avoid them like the plague cause they are generally over-moderated and turd. anyway, i've just noticed there are 2 links under everyones avatar that say exalt and smite. then there is a display saying karma.
i know what these things are in terms of definition but what the hell do they mean on a forum?

Karma is the same as reputation. Dunno about the other two.

karma is good rep

smite is a bad thing so im guessing thats bad rep

exalt means to glorify so im guessing its a good thing?

I think you give Karma to people who have helped you, smite is for people who troll, exalt...never seen before but as ssj said probably when people have been really helpful or given to a lot of people (i.e. Created a FAQ page on something etc)

Another way for people to think they own a forum, bit like those with a high post count instantly are kind etc
