I have photshop cs3 and i was trying to do some carbon fibre after follwing the tutorial on carbon fibre on digimods

http://www.digimods.co.uk/tutorials/tutorials.htm

ive followed that as much as i can but.. i get extra options at some stages and different outcomes

step 3 shows the chequer (transparent) when they did it but when i do it, it comes up with white there, should i change background to transparent?

and when i do inverse select then delete nothing happens :s

Does anyone know a better way of doing it?
Thanks Andrew
