Hi,
As above.I have just fitted a X16XE Engine into my Car (X14XE) And it is all connected up except these;








Any Help much Appreciated.

Goes to the starter motor


I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

I thought it did but wasnt sure.That must mean that there's 2 that go on the Starter Motor.

yep main feed, and a ignition feed then one off to earth.

the other large block connector i think goes to the SAP secondary air pump. and the last small one looks like its something to do with a speed sensor... does the engine you've put in have electronic spedo?

Well there is 2 Threads on the Starter Motor,Which have both got Earths on at the Min,So there must be 4 Earths that go on the Starter.1 Small one,1 Large one,And then that Black & Red Large one.

Oh what a man you are,There is a Sensor on the Gearbox which where that Little Black one goe's i thick.
So that's 2 down,Just 2/3 to go

yeah there should be 2 terminals on the starter.. the main power ones go on just one of them obviously te thicker of the 2 and the tiny black one shoud go on the smaller of the 2... thats how starters work..

Yeah but that above doesnt seperate.Think i know now anyhow so it's all Gravy.

Also does a Speedometer from a X16XE G/Box Fit into a X14XE Box?As i cant get it to fit as it is to Big for the Hole

is it a electronic one of mechanical one?

as thats the only real difference, due to the x14's gearbox could ahve been bolted straight onto the x16

Electric.

The X14XE G/BOX Was Fcuked that's why i changed it for the X16.
