Is it actually taxed? If not then no you can't drive it. As it wont be insured.

You can do it without, if you go to the post office (or online probably) theres a guidebook that tells you what forms you need to fill in etc etc

If you DO NOT have the reminder...
Enter the Vehicle Registration Mark (number plate) AND the Document Reference Number. This number can be found on the front of the Registration Document/Certificate (also known as the Logbook).
Show me where to find the Document Reference Number

Could you not get done for not displaying the tax disc? regardless of whether you are waiting for the tax to come in the post

Na I got stopped before and it was fine. They checked their database, saw I was taxed, insured, and tested. Was fine. Not ideal. But will be ok.

would doubt you could tax it online if youve just got it today. takes a few days to update the insurance database

you get 5 days grace now if you buy tax online so don't need to show the disc.
you'll probably get stopped just to check its all legit but it'll be on their system.
