I think AK has one on his too, something about smoothing the engine out and reducing jerkiness when you come off the throttle. No harm in giving it a go I suppose.

Yeah true mate, not sure how much they are tho ???

Im looking at getting rid of my front bumper because since ive put that on in replace of my old standard one (whilst engine was being fitted) the acceleration / speed is much slower

Few people have said its because of the air not being able to get underneath it ?!? Also very heavy !

Also your bumper has large deep pods for the driving lamps and the drag factor will be big especially at high speeds. Oh and nice car btw, Black is a mare to keep clean.

Thanks mate,

So you also agree that my front bumper isn't ideal for acceleration / power ??

I didn't notice it on the 1.4 but since i took the standard plastic ones off and added my kit "christ" did i notice the speed drop !!

Great power when in 5th, it pulls lovely but in 1st when pulling away from lights the power isnt as strong as before.

That breather mod to to stop oil surging down the pipe. When the engines been wokring hard, the oil gets blocked in the cam cover or something and this stops it.

easy to tell when it happens, u'll loose power, and notice you can't see behined u for smoke I've had it happen twice. its ok, just ease off the power and drive it with care for a while.

I had it happen on track at the weekend. Backed off for half a lap and back on the power

As for the engine, everyone says u have to have it powder coated, but i've seen many a cam cover painted normally with no problems. Im just gonna get mine sprayed up.
