Docs?
Unless its a professional physio I doubt they will know their arse from their elbow*
*Pun intended.
I've recently been diagnosed with AS and I'm seeing a physio weekly.....its turned out that most of my lower back/hip/sciatica is due to my ITB muscles being foobarred/wasted.
Pain transfer is a really strange thing...ITB pain is either in your knee and/or your glutes. You can have pain in neither of those areas but if a physio prods you at the right point mid/outer thigh they can induce either.
Strange indeed......get to a physio after your MRI (if an MRI can even detect what is wrong) it took 6 hours with a physio to even start to understand my back/hip/leg muscle problems.
