When moving battery to the boot what you need?
Battery tray
5m of red 2gauge
length of black 2guage
connectors
anything else? Heard about fuses being used, but cant see that working well if the starter motor can pull 500A!
Also which way is best to do it? Wire to starter motor then another from starter to fuses? or distro block with wire going to starter and the other to fuses?

check the amps etc on the one it has now. get something similar but smaller.

i just put a distribution block under the bonnet where the battery was and just put all the wires back on it then ran a wire from the boot to power the block, simples

yep dist block with all the lives, run wire to boot. big earth wire to chassis. peasy

5 mtrs is enough to walk round your car with as well 2.5-3 is plenty

Also use gromets whenever you go through bulkheads or the floor with the cabe.
Ensure it is securely clipped at least every 6 inches and has suitable abrasion resistance on areas where it could rub etc.
And most importantly. DO NOT mount a lead acid battery inside the car. It must be a sealed battery if it is in the boot as standard car batteries are 33% sulphuric acid.
