Depending on speed at which you enter the corner, lift off oversteer is sumtimes needed in which case a GTI or VTS is a superb car. Maybe not so good for an inexpierienced driver but once you get used to it the tail out in them thier excellent!

I had a GTE at 17 and I got a Renault 5 Turbo aswell before I had turned 18!

If you drive like a twat there is no saying you will crash but obviously you are more likely to than if you drive about like a vagina decliner.

my first car was a asta 16 16v and i drove it like a twat and crashd it on the 6th day of me having it , 60 mph into a telegraph pole sideways ! so from my experience just get a 1.48v so you can learn to drive first then after a year get a redtop

I would have been driving a V8 Lotus at 17 if my parents hadn't divorced. Selfish bastards, always thinking of themselves.
