Matty - Seen that too, more than a little worrying IMO. It does seem Nissan aren't prepared to back up their claims the car has launch control etc - if you use it, and turn off traction control your warranty is void. Doesn't reap confidence to me.

They're awesome cars, but i think i'd rather have an R34.
Then a couple of years down the line when the R35's appear to be good looking (like what happened with the R34), i'd have one.

cant see the pics but unsure if its the same one, seen a white one at crail with AVA stickers, it ran an 11 something and the only car to beat it all day was a Scooby. really nice car's.
cant help get the impression that with all those gadgets it could get boring to drive.

You weren't in a red Impreza by any chance were you?

Thats confused me! So does the 2010 model have proper launch control? not just 'mud escape'?

it confused me i ran out of time earlier as i wanted to post the video of a GTR killing the trans trying to use launch control....
saying that according to the video posted i think its saying you should switch off the VDO as all it does is spin the wheels making you feel like your getting a quicker launch

Running costs a fair bit higher than a 997 Turbo
He actually had one of those for about 2 months and so far his GTR is much cheaper to run than the 997.

Like I say he had a 997 turbo but he says the GTR is a much better all round car, he was all set to buy a lambo but the dealership messed him about for weeks so he bought a brand new style M3 instead to run about in.

Super cars are a fools game at the minute anyway, my step brothers just sold his 997 gt2 before it looses its value. Hes normally always in a new ferrari/bm/lambo/porsche but now hes not buying another supercar until the market stabilises and rightly so. You have to be mad to buy a brand new supercar/sports car at the minute as it will just shit depreciation like a beer laced curry poo!

Tell him to get himself a 993 GT2. He'll probably make money on that...
... as long as he doesn't use it

Lovely cars. The pearly white colour is VERY nice, lovely flake in it.
There were warranty issues at the start BUT people were told do the launch control you will void the warranty so to go back after launching it a number of times when you have a problem is a bit thick.
From what I understand now they have updated the ECU so you can't do the launch which invalidated the warranty and its no longer an issue. You can still do a launch but now its allowed
Parts from Nissan are expensive but there are many suppliers of alternatives out there already which make it more than comparable with other cars of similar performance.

It's an impressive car, not sure I'd want to own one though.
Build process is cool to look at:
