Ok,
For those of you that know me 
For those that don't, I'm Mav's elder brother 
So.....I'm selling my flat that I've had for 20 years or so...and I'm after some feedback on it's state/decoration for first time buyers/investors.
Basically I'm going to paint it white (ceilings) magnolia walls (in the bedrooms) white /cream in the other rooms. New beige/biscuit carpets in the bedrooms and I'm going to leave the maple laminate floors that are there elsewhere.
Would that put you off or would you try to reduce the asking price?
I'm curious.

I rent houses out as a second income and believe me, this is probably the best way of doing it as magnolia/cream goes with just about everything, and the good thing about paint is, if they don't like the colours or just want a change, they just paint over it, no effort in stripping wallpaper off etc....

Yeah, I thought that too....I'm leaving quite a bit of stuff in the place too...mainly venitian (maple) blinds etc.
Are laminate floors still in fashion though?

Yes, especially with the young buyers as they are lazy these days and it's easier to clean.
I do get a lot of tennants requesting laminates, I personally don't mind them putting it down aslong as they pay for it, unless the floor coverings are damaged or worn out then I'll happily put them some down.

As said neutral colours are always a winner.

magnolia is so last year mate even new builds ive been working on don't use it anymore...... almond white or bone white is where it's at for the new fresh look

white cielings magnolia walls can never go wrong, tigy enough to move in and live with and a good blank canvass for there own tastes

Yep, that's me on the commute 
Right now my flat looks better in maggie than the colours I had it painted

It would attract me more, simple and clean.
Kinda like a blank canvas.
