Just trying to increase the boost on my TD (Cav, 1.7) Bleed valve is in ok, the problem is when I increase the boost, it gets to about 0.8bar and starts to oscilate. After a bit of testing, I think the boost pressure safety vavle is starting to open, then close and so on.

Now, i thought it was supposed to open at about 1.2bar? So i guess I've got one with a weak spring (Typical)

So, anyone know of any easily obtainable part that will block the hole? To save me trail around finding a place that has a big enoguh bolt

Or, anyone around Sheffield that has a spare valve knockin' around, that does open at 1.2bar I could buy?

go to a plumbing supply shop, thats where people buy the bolts from.

Yeah, thought i'd get 'round to doing it

Just a bit annoyed that I've got a weak valve, ah well. Have to wait 'till next week for full tweaked-ness.

Not yet, haven't increased the fueling yet, as I was gonna get the boost setr at 1bar before i adjusted it.

And it's really awkward to get the bolts out on the diaphragm top + when I finally got it off, i couldn't see the restrictor ring? Dunno whether they left it off the 1.7 (Which I doubt) More likey i just couldn't see it 'cos of the way the manifold sits.

Have to take the manifold of next satdee when i've got more time, should be able to see it then.

just drove my bros standard td, fcuk me its so slow, forgot how much difference it made doing the tweek, and thats on satndard rims, i have 17's. defo worth doing.

Heh, yeah

Should be gettin' a manifold gasket this week, probs thurs, so will try and get it done thurs night (Still light ,'till nine
Can't wait to see what difference it makes
