Heard about this on the radio and just saw the advert. The thing that sticks in my mind is the copper in the radio interview saying 'we can see you're on drugs by looking at your eyes'.
I'd like to see that stand in court. Period.
(I don't condone driving while fucked though...)

Most drugs show through the eyes in one way or another though. Surely he means that's enough grounds to arrest you and take a urine sample at the station?
(I haven't actually seen said advert btw)

you can tell from the eyes though e.g. dilated eyes means you've been smoking weed iirc?

Pupils don't dilate when smoking weed. More red eye than anything. Pills on the other hand....

it is one of the warning signs you would use in court for being drunk/under influence of drugs yes. IIRC smells of intoxicating liquor, slurred speech, dilated pupils, lack of co-ordination, etc etc. You need grounds to arrest someone under section 4 i believe it is, which gives you the power to get them back to the station to perform the neccesary tests to get your evidence to actually get them convicted of the offence of drink/drug driving. If you dont suspect them of being drunk/drugged whilst driving, then you cant arrest. For section 5 (or maybe 6?) you dont need to suspect, but thats power to use road side breathaliser

thing is, its bollox. my mate adam, looks stoned 24/7 eyes always red and dilated, but its because he was born like a spaz!!!

major difference between alcohol and say pills or coke. certain drugs will increase your awareness and make you more alert lol.
