Im going to get a Suround sound system as said in a previous thread, one thing it only has a phono input on it, so my question is if i run the phono lead from my Sony tv to the back of the dvd unit, i assume it will play the sound from the ps3 throuhg the surround sound.
hats probably a stupid question but you never know with technology now

It'll play it but in stereo, might as well find one with optical.

tbh i dont think ill be bothered, the system is only costing me £140 and its gonna replace muy stereo aswell that ive just got rid off, its the first surround sound im gonna own, ive been happy listening to the games through the tv so surely anything better will be an improvement

Oh forgot to say, i assume it will only play dvds in 5.1 sound

i seriously wouldnt spend 140, without getting an optical in.
For not much more or the same price range u can get something with optical, or digital coax

i got a bluetooth samsung 5.1 dvd player with tallboy speakers for 140 in currys as it had no remote (got one for 5er off ebay)
