are 6000K hid's fully legal?

im buying some but the police round by us are cocks and they pull you for everything so i want to know weather there fully legal or not

No they're not, no HID's are unless you have auto adjusting headlights and projector headlights or something

Essentially all aftermarket HID kits are illegal if fitted to standard headlights. There are loopholes etc iirc, but still pretty much illegal.

Having said that, I run 6K in the van with no hassle. Still won't be risking them for MOT time though I doubt (although is tempting!) and I did pass 2 MOTs with 8K ones in standard C projector lights

Still allow me to see better than with normal bulbs lol. They point down a bit because I've adjusted them down with the weight I carry

I got them in mine, not tried an MOT yet but tbh won't take much to put standard bulbs in so might just do that.

my old corsa with 6k HIDS passed at a very stringent mot garage. i adjusted them down very slightly from how they were with halogens
