In terms of the site it may attract new members.
I think you best just go and join a bike site and talk there, less chance of people calling you gay on there too.

Think you hit the nail on the head there though, General chat is supposed to be General Chat about Corsa's, See discription "Corsa conversation, news, and general car discussion."
Off Day was created for all the other crap, General chat used to be full everything.
The problem is corsasport has grown beond its original lines, Weekend racer was created to try and get corsa sport back onto corsas but it has not quite worked out yet.
But then again what do i no

Leighton, that to me? If so, yeah, GC is for Corsas and Cars, always has been.
Bikes arn't cars, so I always start them in Off Day.
Corsasport started as JUST corsa B's. The Corsa C came out, and new sites were formed. Corsa D is now out, and im sure theres Corsa D forums (or mainly VXR forums, as people dont pull apart their new corsas like we used to, as our B's are so much simpler).
CS has grown, it either gets left behined, or moves with the times. tbh, this is more of a social place now. BEfore practically every post was about corsas.... Not anymore.
Also, with the bikes, most forums are model specific. There are a few forums like visordown etc, but theres a lot of badgers on there, and a lot of experienced, and con-desending people. I've not even signed up to them, jsut read every so often.
Most riders here will be fairly new riders, so all enjoying the same excitment of getting into biking. Some of us have been riding years.
Thing is with biking, you start learning when you pass your test, and you never ever stop learning things. In a car, yu can get in, and easily drive fast with some fancy helpful aids. On a bike it doesn't work like that, and only practice, and time helps.
Plus, general tips, mechanical help etc can be started here, as some members will feel more comfy bantering with each other, where as on other sites, they can REALLY go to town on you Other sites are family U rated etc..
Again, not assed, but it does seem like were getting a lot more bikers on here recently. No doubt now winters coming, we'll all dissapear again

Indeed.
Whilst I may ride Bandito all year round, Nelli will deffo be staying in the garage. Might get the odd cold day that I take her out when the roads arn't covered in salt and dirt, but those days, just during weekends, during winter, are very few and far between

There's not that many bike posts day to day and the numbers we see now will fizzle out as the winter closes in......
Why not post in Sport day.........bikes can be a sport

VXR/Daimo, you're getting quite snobby about the old corsas. Calling them crappy little cars isn't exactly the nicest, if want for a better word, thing to be saying on a corsa forum.

wont work, gc should be genral corsa and automotive chat
theres loads of posts about fords, doesnt mean there should be a subforum, imo people talking about bringing new members to the site are surely having a laugh

Would be a good idea, but are there enough owners on here to warrant it. Also who would moderate it?

was just an idea, not a bad one in my opinion, as someone said, we can share mechanical and technical info without filling up general chat and bikers maybe not seeing a post?
and as for bike forums...... i dont know any good ones? MCN, is boring, CBR.net is full of yankies that use sayings i dont understand
i think the reason for CS being such a hit with the people is its easy, and friendly
i notice something though, all the bikers are saying yay, all non bikers are saying nay........

PH is banned here
There are a few sites, but not as active, not the friendly banter without the abuse either
As I say, not too fussed here

Depends if there's demand and it's necessary. I'm not sure about either as it stands.
