cheap stuff is
after market inlet manifold
de-cat
freeflowing exhaust system (including decent manifold janspeed is recomended)
good service
arp con rod bolts.
expensive stuff
sbd exhaust manifold
full bottom end ballance
lightweight flywheel & sutable clutch
head ported/gass flowed
indervidual throttle bodies
aftermarket managment (remember the arp's well these engines produce most of there power higher up the rev range so needs a custom map to rase rev limit to 7.5k to 8.5k the bottom end can take upto 9/10k but i wouldn't)
cupped pistons
high lift cams
silly money
turbo conversion

My x14xe had inlet manifold, pipercross viper filter and some shitty backbox and was rolling roaded at 103bhp, but a less impressive torque figure. After this I added a decat and four branch but this didnt make much difference. Sounded great though!

90bhp standard? Whats up with the engines over there?
Barinas over here that have c14xe's only have 60bhp.
Interesting concept though because i was thinking along the 1.4 path as ive been told it would be a straight bolt in as a replacement for my worn out 1.2

Ahh, i see now. So whats the 1.4 16v out of then?
Just looking at some options as im looking to be able to drag off all the guys who drive their so called "modifed" pulsars, civics, lancers without going too over the top. These cars in question by the way only run a cannon, altezza tailights and mags usually
