girlfriend just got an upgrade on her contract and got a blackberry bold
she thinks it is to big and wants to swap it for a blackberry curve
when i say swap i mean sell bold on ebay and buy a curve
Is it possibile to get the curve unlocked to work on 3 
have read that it is not 3g compatibile
does that make a difference?? anyway to get a curve on 3

The Curve doesn't have 3G I don't think fella.
You can definetly crack the Blackberrys to work on any network - crackberry.com is really good for finding out how to do it.

so does the 3 network just use 3G then?
will need to check and see what blackberrys she can get then i guess

no, they use orange's gsm network, so any non 3g handset will work.
