TrackScotland trackday earlier in the year.
http://www.trackscotland.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?p=15734#15734
Tim and his daughter walked away unharmed.... but it was a very big off to say the least.
Think it was rear suspension failure....
and one of our boat on the same night...

Glad they were ok, could have been a lot worse. The skyline looks really good in that pic.

Wow!
That's the risk one takes when doing a trackday tho, these things can happen.

where is that crash?
Looks like the start/finish straight with the pit lane exit just in the background.
If thats right he'd have been doing a serious bit of speed there looks like he was lucky.
You never think you will crash in a straight line but it just goes to show you the risks you take.

Expensive!!!!
Defo the straight as the bridge is there, first I thought maybe somehow lost it on the slight bump at the top, but if suspension failure....ohwell.

yup, as said its on the pit straight. It started further back than the hump, but came to rest at the bridge.

Its fibreglass, have you ever seen a fibreglass bodied car in an accident before? I saw a tvr in a 40mph collision that looked a lot worse than that due to the body shattering. The same sort of crash in a steel bodied car would just leave a big dent and not rip half the flimsy body off.

To those saying it isn't that bad, I wouldn't want to watch my daughter skelp anything at 130mph tbh. It looks bad enough, glad they were ok.
