Had a look at loads of comparison things but can't see any major difference (i'm a DSLR novice though)

Do fancy a 450d but i'm not sure if i'd actually use it to its full potential and justify the extra cost. The types of photos i'll be taking will be scenery and buildings etc with a wide angle lens aswell as internal property photos. Be handy for it being SD though and do like the realtime LCD feature.

Any opinions or feedback on these? Any tips appreciated

The 450 has spot focusing and 9 focus points as opposed to 7 on the 1000, it also has 12mp as opposed to 10, 14 bit colour depth as opposed to 12, a 3 inch screen as opposed to a 2.5 inch on the 1000 and is 3.5fps, slightly quicker than the 1000s 3 frames. They used to provide the same standard lens when the 1000 was released but the kit lens on the 1000 doesnt have the image stabiliser anymore than you get on the 450d.
